Has anyone used a power vision or had experience with one? They are on sale and look to do as much or more than a tts or a serpt....

power vision and tts are supposed to be the best. I do not have one now but will soon depending on what my shop is most comfortable with. TTS is coming out with a new model

I wouldnt limit it to TTS and Power Vision, quite a few of the tuners like Direct Link as well.

Most dyno are dyno jet anyways....so if I want to get it dyno should be easy enough...but from what I'm reading with the latest updates...it's pretty powerful tool with data logging ect...plus you can add a auto tune kit with wide band o2
For the lazy/novice...most will be fine with this though with the mods most do... pipes, cam ect...if you follow the directions and spend a little time getting it right, I'd bet if you had it dyno after there wouldn't be a whole lot left on the table...that 2-4 HP won't feel or mean a whole lot to most...as long as it runs right, cool, crisp ect....

Just buy it. I have one and the information you can have displayed is great! I just did a couple of tuning runs to adjust my bike to the winter weather riding season. Next spring I'll reload the summer tune and be good to go. I also bought the WB Autotune module.
Since they did the upgrade allowing you to adjust the tune without a computer this thing is totally awesome. Before it was simply awesome.
I have a techmount purchased from JC Whitney to mount mine. Also have a techmount on the left handlebar to mount my GPS.
You won't be sorry.

Would there be any gain using a PV tuner on a stock cvo? No mods have been done so far.

The first mod to my bike was a K&N filter, Power Vision and an updated map. The new map wasn't as lean as the stock map.
This is a very easy tool to work with. And you shouldn't ever need to visit a dyno tune ever when you do other mods to the bike. Exhaust, intakes, cams, pistons; whoever you buy the PV from you should be able to get a decent map from. Then you can use the PV tune feature to personalize it to your bikes unique characteristics.
I have a map for:
Stock bike with K&N filter
Stock bike with a K&N filter and a 2 into 1 exhaust
SE 10.5:1 pistons, performance cam, K&N filter and a 2 into 1 exhaust

I haven't used the last one yet. I have the parts and will begin the installation in January after our Blue Acorn Ride.

I'm pretty sure you would notice a difference adding that just to start with. I have one and I like it. Haven't played with it much because I was happy with the tune it came with from FuelMoto. That said, I did have slip-ons and an air cleaner on bike as well.
But when I got my night rod in '07 the first thing I put on it was a PCIII all else bone stock and I could feel the difference right from start-up, shortly thereafter I added exhaust and AC.

I have a PV and put this post up earlier...

http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=61063.msg863037#msg863037

there have been a lot of changes to the powervision since you posted that.  the biggest being the ability to autotune (basic with the nb o2 sensors, and pro with the additional purchase of the bosch wb o2 sensors), and being able to purchase additional licenses.  with my one powervision unit, i have the ability to flash the ecm on both mine and my wife's bike, with no computer needed.  if you have more than 2 licenses, then you would need a computer to load the additional licenses.  but you can always have 2 licenses on the pv unit, which makes it great for traveling.

another great benefit is that you can use the powervision to troubleshoot any delphi efi bike. check and clear trouble codes.  does not have to marry to the bike to do that.  you can also datalog on any bike to go back later and see if there are any 'trouble' areas on the existing map.  you won't be able to flash it, but at least you'll be able to see where the spark is being retarded, and any pinging that you can't hear.

How much does the extra license cost- would be nice to put be able to flash my wife's bike as well.

the extra license is 199.00  you contact dynojet directly, they need some info from your pv, and then they will customize you a code that you input into your pv unit directly which when you hook it up to your second bike, will then marry to it.

I have been very happy with my power vision and love the lack of being tethered to a laptop to make changes. I run a stock motor but was unhappy with how hot it was running so I decided on the power vision to help richen the mixture. But with that said, I love being able to bring up the gauge functions and monitor engine parameters more than anything.

Im a Power Vision owner, I love it. I bought mine from Fuelmoto knowing it was $80 cheaper from Directcycleparts. Why? Because the extra $80 was well with having Fuelmoto's knowledge a phone call away. They are simply AWESOME. Shipped it to me premapped with a great download for my CVO runs great!
