My bike has been running fine for 2 years with the map Steve provided for my "B" pipe and 2" cores. No popping, no nothing. Gets decent mileage. Could I get just a bit more out of it? Maybe, and if I'm ever around a place where there is a REALLY good tuner, I might have it fine tuned just to say I've done it, but I don't feel the need to have it done. The TTS Software makes it easy to upload/download.
I know a lot of people say "every motor is different", so needs to be tuned, and I'm sure I could squeeze out a tiny bit more, but I personally don't subscribe to the school of thought that my bike is THAT much different than the bike(s) Steve used to come up with a map that works just fine in 95% of bikes with his pipe/cores. If your bike starts fine, idles fine, has great throttle response, pulls hard, doesn't backfire, never pings, gets 40+ miles to a gallon (the way I ride), the only reason to put it on a Dyno is to tweak a little more HP/TQ out of it, or slightly improve fuel mileage, etc., and there's no guarantee of that. There are exceptions to everything though...
