Been riding just over 5 years. My first bike was a Deluxe and when I upgraded the 3-year-old bike it had 28,000 miles on it (pleasure riding only. I don't ride to work in Houston traffic). Now riding a CVO Streetglide and am still not "in love with it" the way I was with my deluxe, but do like the speed and the sound (I can almost outrun my hubby on it on a long stretch). I've had the bike a year and a half and have around 11K Miles on it. Should be double that with as much as I like to ride, so need to figure out my mojo on this one. Took it to Sturgis last year (our 4th year and counting) and did okay, but just not as comfortable as I'd like to be, especially on Needles Highway and Iron Mountain where the hairpin curves are tight and steep in some instances. We did put an Arnott air suspension on it so I can maneuver it better, but still need to get in some practice. The new CVO Convertible (matte denim) caught my eye, but not yet ready to make a change.
My husband is on this site all the time, so thought I'd join him hoping to find out how to take care of some of the quirks with the bike such as the iPOD player not always turning on. I also found some cool ideas for him for hanging his tour pack up in the garage, and maybe I can get some even better Birthday/Father's Day/Christmas/Anniversary ideas for him. Owning a CVO doesn't require much for upgrading so have to be creative. Always open to suggestion from the men out there on what they've liked/disliked and from the women to find out what they may have done as well. He has a 2011 1/2 CVO Ultra Classic.
