Changing from stock pistons to 10.5 SE on a 110 to
« on: January 20, 2013, 04:15:59 PM »

I have 2012 SESG3.  At present, with regard to the 110 motor, is has Thundermax tuner, rush ceramic coated true duals, Reaper 274 cams & performance lifters, Roland Sands clarity breather, .0030 cometic head gaskets, and CFR mufflers.  I am thinking that changing the pistons from stock to 10.5 compression SE pistons will really wake it up.  I am also wondering if the Thundermax make the necessary changes or it will need a new base tune loaded
Thanks and thoughts..................

with the increase in comp ratio it may or may not based on what map you started with. I would set the t max to the max off set learn % clean the buffer so you have a clean slate to start with on the tune,.. go for a short ride and see if it maxes the off sets out . If so you may have to play with another cal. But for the most part the t max will get you there , provided you do your part and check the tune after a ride. Once you get it close back down the learn % and let it fine tune in.
