One more idea...my dealer has a guy that details the bikes when they come in on a trade (usually not a Harvard graduate, if you know what I mean).  Could the detailer have washed the bike without wrapping the air cleaner with the rain sock?  I could envision the detailer not knowing to do this since very few factory bikes have open air cleaners.  After looking at your pics of water drops in the air cleaner, this explanation came to mind.

This, along with an overfill, is my bet. I would buy the bike, in fact I WILL trade my bike for yours strait across!!! No, not a CVO but not filled with rust and gonna blow up any minute if I have read all of this correctly. I know it would be a ton of work for me, but I love that color, so even if I end up with a Sandy damaged bike in trade, I will spend the, perhaps, thousands of dollars to bring the bike back to life. So U get a ready to ride 103 that is way faster than the 110 bike U bought if U really are that worried.
Seriously, I would use the issue to get something else from the dealer, exhaust, LED headlighting, SE Heavy breather, or something that U like.

I am a little late to this tread. Imho if you have moisture (milk) on the dip stick and in the oil tank the damage is done. It's not if the engine will come apart, but when will the engine fail.
Take it back. They didn't even check the oil level or they would have seen the moisture.   good luck,  axil

Dealer sent a trailer this morning to pick up the CVO. They told me it was on the lift, and what they found was normal. Its just not sitting well with me. Its just too close to the SANDY flood area. I emailed the sales manger and told him I want to walk away from this deal. I rode 50 miles and the SERG had to get towed back to the dealership. Just give me back my 01 SERG AND I"ll be happy

I'm keeping the CVO. I thought about a 2013 URG and adding extras
(GPS, heated grips, detachable tour pack...) The CVO, to me was the way the go. I hope it was the right decision.

I am sure that it was the right idea and that you had looked at all the options. Once you get more time to know your new CVO you will feel more comfortable with it.  Now that you have voiced the issue with the dealer it is in their records if something surfaces.  Do you still have some remaining factory warranty or an esc?
