Ultra Classic Harmon Kardon radio replacement question.
« on: January 20, 2013, 11:07:24 PM »

I am the proud owner of a 2011 CVO Ultra with the HK radio which I have grown to hate!  (The radio that is).  I am looking for ideas for a replacement radio that offers Bluetooth tech so I can ditch the cords.  Seems to me that maybe through Bluetooth I can have wireless intercom and stereo into the helmet without cords.  I don't mind loosing the CB and weather channels to make this happen.  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.  Oh yeah, the hardest part, I would like to keep the hand controls.

Not hard at all to keep the handlebar controls.  Check the link below to use Sony radios and do this:

Check the link below to use many other radios and do this:

The kits have all the mounting hardware and electronics needed to make the aftermarket radios a plug and play affair.  Only hard part will be picking your radio.

You lose the CB and intercom with a replacement radio.

Biketronics is another company you can look up to get some good ideas on what is available.

I really dislike the HK unit, too, FWIW.  Bluetooth and better search menus for the iPod should be standard on every head unit sold these days.
