Sad about your brother, but Congratulations on your new ride!    :2vrolijk_21:

I use Progressive Insurance.  It came thru 5 stars when I totalled my 04 SEEG.  I'm happy with it.

I had Farmers and was happy, until one day I called HD(Progressive). Same coverage, 300 bucks less and I've heard good things about them.

With insurance everything is case dependent - where you live, your driving record, your vehicle, your estimated driving mileage, etc., etc.  I've had Progressive and Dairyland but have been with Foremost for seven years.  Both Progressive and Dairyland had good first year premiums but considerable increases the second year even though no claims, no tickets.  I try to beat Foremost every year but no one comes close.

Just my experience.  Yours could be different so I would get quotes from several.  You will be surpised how different they can be.  Also be sure to tell them you've had a safety course.  That can save you bug bucks.

Whatever insurance you get, make sure to bump the "underinsured motorist" coverage to the max. That way if an uninsured or underinsured motorist hits you, you won't be left penniless. It's the best $30 you'll ever spend.

Greetings,

It has been 10 years since I last rode. At the time I was riding a neighbor's 80ci Electra Glide. The old guy wasn't able to ride any more and he didn't want it to just sit. I would take it out on Saturdays and always made time to sit and visit with him during the week. Sadly my wife and I had to move to help care for my father.

Now I'm getting ready to buy my first Harley and I've found a decent deal on a 2007 FLHTCUSE2 with a H-D dealer. My question is this: What advice can you share on getting comfortable on it? I keep hearing "110 inches is a lot of engine!" and the last one I rode was 80. I have an over abundance of confidence but I'm always willing to listen to advice.

Thanks.

Haha it's a good sized motor but nothing to worry about. Typical TC Harley...

Thank you. I'll bump the insurance.

Today was day 2 of the endorsement course with day 3 tomorrow. Today we rode in the rain on Buells. The cold, cold rain.
At least it wasn't snow.

Safety course complete. License endorsement next week. In the wind the following Saturday.

Geico has the best rates I've found so far. Any positive or negative experiences?

Guess what I finally picked up Saturday morning?
That's right, my CVO!

The ashes are in the dash pad on the fairing. I put in around 230 miles this weekend and I'm looking forward to many many more.
I went with GEICO for the insurance.

First destination? The USS Alabama.
