You guys will be shocked to learn what they pay here in California.  Let me just say you all should be greatful for living where you live.  But the state unemployment rate did finally drop just a tad below 10% to 9.8%.....that's the whole state!

Oh, I wouldn't be shocked. See so much stuff on the internet about how expensive it is to live out there I can just about believe anything that has to do with the "Sun Tax"  as I call it for the year round nice weather.

CT is $52 for two years on the tags.
 Personal property taxes - payable to the town in which you live in another story entirely

Yeah, I purchased a new CVO Ultra last year in July, paid sales tax when the bike was purchased. Tags cost me just over $750.00!!!

here in pa its 18.00 a year. just renewed today.

All motorcycles are $18 regardless of the size and cost.  But, we have some of the highest gasoline road tax in the country.  Probably works out in the grad scheme.

$1600 a year to ride for 7 months and cover the bike itself for the whole year....with the 43% discount...gotta love ICBC!   It was half that in Alberta.

In Virginia it's about $400 with tax. Sucks but we can ride most of the year so that makes up for it a bit..

I think for non-vanity plates the cost is $24 for 2 years.  I think with my vanity plate the cost is about $50.  Does not matter what bike cost is the same in Wisconsin.

Beyond belief!  Tag here is $18.00, no state related taxes, insurance for 12 months (State Farm) is $302.  Just paid the insurance.

That's 'tags' (registration) and insurance...but still outrageous!

Do you then have to pay a vehicle, property, or add valorium tax?

...property taxes are separate from vehicle tags.
