The following response from some......is not (a problem that I have),  but over the yrs,  I have been amazed by various (husbands) stating the following.......

"I was wanting to get a ............boat, bike, sportscar, etc...........but (my wife wouldn't let me) :confused5:      This commentary from guys that were indeed the major "bread winner" of the family,  but obviously didn't get to call the shots. :nixweiss:

Here's the deal...mutual respect along with some common sense and conversation.  Everything will be fine then.  I would venture to say that in this day and time, few people stay married to the same person for any length of time in a one sided relationship.  It just doesn't typically work.

A lot depends on how tight the budget is.

I let my wife read all of this. She cracked up laughing with tears rolling down her face.  :huepfenjump3: :huepfenjump3: :mango: :bananarock:

I remeber listening to a couple of guys a few years ago.  The one was stating that he and his wife talked about it and she agreed that he could get a bike.  When his friend asked what that cost he replied "about two Carats".

Glad that I do not have that problem, my wife is a BSR and was when I married her more than 35 years ago.

Ha  :o  My other half has 2 bikes of her own, an FLHX and a Suzuki DL,  an entire herd's worth of leather and accessories, and half a shoe store worth of shoes tucked away in various parts of the house. I just say yes lamb chop. ???
Speaking of cattle, one member here friend has a very smart wifey. She tells him to get new CVO's for himself and then assimilates them for own as she rides also. Resistance is futile.  ;D

I too am surprised at the response.  I only asked the question because of reading so many postings with references to not letting the "wife" know what some item cost or wanting this or that but had to get it past the wife comments.  I agree it's a long winter.

And it is more fun than the "three word story" and most that are interested have answered if they "carry".

My wife hasn't complained about anything I've bought since April 4, 1972.  Coincidentally, that's the date of our divorce from which I kept five motorcycles and the payment book for her washer and dryer.  Money well spent!!!   :2vrolijk_21:

My wife doesn't control how I spend my money.
I just get to decide when it is best to sleep on the couch or have her yell at me.
