Hi CB,

I would have liked to have left my chrome cover on. But, I couldn't because the muffler was against it.
I guess there is a slight difference in the bend in the pipes on the set I got.

The sound is going to take some getting use too. It sounds good, but just a little loud.
I'm a old guy and have out grown the need for loud exhaust. I guess for longer rides ear plugs are
in my future. Lol

I got a couple of pretty nice days for riding. That all ends tomorrow. The next 3 days calls for rain.
Georgia doesn't have much of a winter anymore, cold a day or so then back to 55 to 65.

I'm still getting some popping on deceleration. Hope to get a better map this week.

Ron

Ron can you show some pics of your installation?  ;D

Hey Ron,  the oil lines and front controls story came directly from V/H....nutty..just nutty is all I can say.

Regarding the popping you are getting.  Yesterday i got a chance to ride for about 150 miles.  I have run about 7 or 8 AT sessions with the Power Vision(saving each session on top of the last, then loading it) over the last 2 weeks.  I am now at the point where the average VE table changes are at 0%, with maximums at 3%, so i think I've taken it about as far as I can.

I am very impressed.  Very few pops(just enough to keep the exhaust fun!), the power delivery has improved a little more after each AT session, and now it's just a dream to ride.  This is my first experience with the PowerVision and it's a very, very impressive fuel manager.  So simple to hook up and use, and very effective.

Z06,
I echo your praise of the Power Vision. Great tool for sure!

I have only ridden a couple of times so far. I have operated it in the auto tune mode, but so far haven't saved any.
I have noticed that each ride it has gotten better. I should have saved the tune and installed it.

It is suppose to rain here until tomorrow , after it stops maybe I can get some more riding in. :)

In the mean time I have requested a new tune from Fuel Motto with the new exhaust.
I hope they already have a good tune, it would save me a little time and work.
If you can call riding a Breakout work. :pepper:

I'm just loving this bike more and more!

Hey Ron,  one thing to keep in mind....you mentioned you ran an AT session but did not save it off.

when you set the unit to AT, it begins collecting data based on how you ride during that session, BUT it makes no changes to the load running in the ECU.  You have to EXPORT and END the AT session and save it to a file slot on the unit, then load that file into the ECU to get the paramaters that were discovered during your AT session actually into the bike.

Thanks Z06!

I did not realize that.
The present tune I am running is an improved tune I got from Dyno Jet so I don't think it is too far off.
It runs really well, just pops some on deceleration.

Hopefully I will get a better tune from Fuel Motto.
If not Ill do the Auto Tune again now that I know how to do it correctly. :o

Thanks for the help!

Hey Ron, I just talked to Jamie at Fuel Moto and he informed me that they do not have any maps available yet for the Breakout. So what base map did you
run? Thinking about going with this tuner, But wanna know where to get a good starting point. Thanks

Hey CB,
Before I got the exhaust, I got a map from DynoJet.
I was just wanting an improved tune for a completely stock Breakout. I just wanted something that would be a little richer.
I then used it as my baseline tune after I installed the exhaust. It was a little lean with the new exhaust.
I then used the Auto Tune function of the Power Vision to improve this tune.
It runs great now with this tune. I plan to use Auto Tune to continue to improve it.

In the Auto Tune mode you ride the bike around and it looks to see what needs to be adjusted, but no changes are made to the tune. But it does store the corrections that it needs.
You then re-flash the ECM and the corrections will be applied. You can do this over and over, each time corrections if needed are made.
You can do this using your stock narrow band sensors, no extra cost.
Or you can buy a kit that uses wide band sensors, more precise but extra cost.

I have found DynoJet to offer more for the Breakout than Fuel Moto. Jamie did send me a base map but I haven't used it. It was just a map to give me a starting point.
I did buy my Power Vision from Fuel Moto, they were giving $150 trade in on you old tuner. I have a Ultra that had a different system on it that I traded in.
I bought the dual license and use it for both my bikes.
It is a great tuner/tool to have.

To my knowledge Bassani is looking to do some testing on the Breakout and hasn't developed anything yet.
