CAT Removal - Step by Step

For those that are curious as to how to remove the catalytic converter from your header on a Tourer, here is a step by step procedure I used to completely remove the device.

Now that you removed your cat are you going to retune and if so what are you going to use. Just being nosey cause I did the same thing but added a Stage 1 screaming eagle air cleaner and had to retune.

Yes retune is a must after any modification to intake or exhaust.

Very good instructions.  Saved it to my computer for future reference if I decide to remove on mine.  I don't have a welder but have a couple good friends that weld for a living and have a good friend that owns a muffler shop....all could weld back with no issues.  Great pics and informative....ya done good Aussie.

Great pictures, thanks. Question is the 66855-10A header on the CVO the same as the 66855-10 header on the ultras? I have one of the later I thought I might experiment on by removing the cat from it. Just wondering if the 'A' on the part number means anything.

Not sure about the 'A' but you can check to see what the part number of your header is using the link.
