What to expect out of a 103
« on: February 26, 2013, 05:30:06 PM »

My 2nd Bike is a 2012 Soft Tail Slim. What are the stock #s. I have put on Roland Sand A/C and Vance & Hines tru duals. I have a tuner and I'm going to put her on the Dyno. How many horses and how much torque can I get out of her?

Thanks

You might want to take a look at the Moco's Screamin Eagle catalog.  I haven't looked at it for some time but I believe that the 103 can be made to have more HP & TQ than any other configuration while still street legal.  Meaning it doesn't have the racing flag designation that the company uses on it's motors & kits.  I would not hesitate to look at the 103 stage4 or the 113 in various builds.  Of course I would rather have a builder do the work and stay away from any Dealership but that's just me.

Good Luck

Stock 103'' will be in the area of 64/84, with air filter kit and pipes with a good tune you should see 88/100 on an average.

A Wood 222 will be very effective in that, plug/play, or pull the heads, have a local machine shop cc/surface them to establish 10.0 cr, and install an S&S .570. :2vrolijk_21:

When Cherokee H-D was in business, we set them up with a 103"er/Wood carb/Wood 9B cams/our heads/Thunder header/etc, that was mid 120's hp and torque.
Scott Pettit, of P&P Performance, who worked there then and now has his own shop, reminded me of that today, during conversation.
