Fuel Moto offers $150 for my TTS to buy a PowerVision
« on: February 27, 2013, 05:53:44 AM »

I have a TTS that I got when I bought my 110 " sleeper kit, the bike runs pretty well with the map that came with the kit but really needs dialed in, none of the tuners around me are very versed in TTS and the auto tune feature has been a pain in the ass to try and use. The laptop in the tourpack works but the software isn't very user friendly and reading all the different instructions and guides that are posted on the internet makes it more confusing.

Fuel Moto is offering a $150 rebate/credit on their PowerVision with the trade in of any EFI tuner, the PowerVision tuner seems to be extremely popular and very well reviewed by those who have it, it looks like it would be more user friendly than what I have, anyone else switched to the PowerVision and what are your thoughts?

I switched from SEPST to PV. Very satisfied. The PV is a far more useful tuning tool from my perspective if for no other reason than it includes a display device which I keep on my handlebar. Real time info that none of the other tuning systems offer.

Once you have a close map installed, how good is the Autotune function?

The PV's auto tune is excellent for closed, open and mixed maps.

If I understand it correctly, Tuners all do basically the same thing. They control the mixture of fuel & air and the timing of them. So it all comes down to the ease of use and how comfortable you feel with it. I would think Fuel Moto would do better by offering a $150 rebate on all units sold. I currently run the TTS and am mostly satisfied with it. No way would I dump it for $150 off of a new product. Now had they offered a discount BEFORE I purchased, I would probably be running one now.

The most important question before you should even choose is can you put your ECM back to stock with the MTE File you should have taken?   If you upgraded and didn't didn't take an MTE file you may not be able to swap out as the ECM will most likely be locked.

I think the best way to get a definitive answer to that question would be for you to pose it directly to Steve Cole of TTS.  He is on this site, user name Steve Cole.

CVO1717 it depends on what version of the software you are on when you loaded the map.   you should verify this with Steve Cole, but I believe pre 1.61 you maybe ok, but 1.61 and later I believe lock the ECM and there is not a way I know of to get back to a base map of your bike since it was to be taken from your dongle / software.

I dont think the ECM is locked to the TTS, the TTS is locked to my ECM. I'm pretty sure my bike doesnt care which tuner hooks to it.
