Then, then we drove back to Nville and got drunked up in the crown room at the airport with Mrs. Naitram waiting on our flights...yup..

They have some nice open and enclosed trailers that you can tow your bike with. You see them all the time at Sturgis.

I specifically traded my 2010 Ultra in on the CVO due to the increased power. Touring bikes are designed to be ridden distances. Unlike the trailer queens from all the "custom" bike manufacturers with rigid frames that make the annual pilgrimage to the local watering hole 5 miles away.

Last year I did two big trips and put 40 000 KM. I had my oil filter loosen a bit and oil started to leak out on the right side of the engine. This happened twice. I found that it would happen at about 6 000 km. I now carry an oil filter wrench with me. My buddy with a 2011 CVO Convertable never had this problem. He also put about 40 000 km and we both ride at the same speed. Maybe there is more vibration on a CVO Street Glide. I also found when I was in the hotter states we would burn or lose a little oil after 6 000 km. My buddy and I would just get a quart and split it between our bikes. Best scenario is if you can get an oil change done. You would avoid both problems.

But if the manual calls for an oil change at 8000 km/5000 miles (when to change oil is for another thread....lol) and you are on the road you sometimes tend to push it to that number. Put 64 000 km on my ride in the last 2 years.

Ride it, did a 1000mile Iron butt in 21hrs, doing a coast to coast Iron butt run this may. my CVO loves the open road. Most of my miles are distance runs or out of state vacations. Just keep up with the service's and ride it.

I bought my 2013 CVO Road Glide in Illinois and rode it back to Arizona in November, 1400 miles, it was a great trip and the bike performed well. I'm planning on riding it to Sturgis this year.

Same here! Never went back, really we should have just taken the hit up front and traded it in. Ended up selling it to the dealership for a huge loss, but needed to buy a car then. The dealership had a buyer before I walked out the door, I heard.

But, my baby Scarlett is just so much better than Lucy didn't hold a candle to her.

My first & last CVO, Scarlett, arrived 6-1-12. I always remember my mom while riding.  She had smarts with a spirit of independence & adventure. "You Gotta LIVE!", was her motto; her favorite color red, and she loved BLING.

Rode ours to sturgis last year then to Ohio and down thru the smokies to the dragon before heading home. 6155 miles in 15 days, one day being 1051 miles to get in the Iron Butt Association. All this pulling a bushtec trailer. Flossie never missed a beat, we had a great ride!
