The ti(p)s are actually black. The anodizing on the aluminum tends to take on a purplish hue after awhile. You can get replacements from BUB. You can also get chrome tips which I have on Elvis and I recommend  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

I saw a guy with a set of RH on his Glide Sunday...they were as purple as could be.  That would not make me a happy camper.

Now that we've thoroughly screwed over this thread I'll say I don't think he's worried about the purpling that often happens to these exhaust tips.  There was a thread here a few months back wherein someone was trying to arrange a group purchase of these exhaust tips available in custom ordered colors.  I think he's looking for that thread.  Anyone remember it or who the vendor was?

I thought it was stillborn too Jim.  But that's the thread he was looking for.  As the site gets bigger and bigger the search tool has gotten to be more and more of a craps shoot.  Sometimes you shoot and you score and sometimes you just toss an air ball.  I tossed an air ball doing a quick look for this one.
