Controlling pandora radio
« on: March 20, 2013, 02:25:32 AM »

Hello i am looking at possibly replacing my stock SG radio.  I pretty much use pandora through my saddle bag connection, the problem is that i can only control the volume, if i try to switch songs it just goes to my music that is actually stored on the the iphone no longer playing pandora music. i am just wondering if there is a way to change this or if anyone has any suggestions for a different radio!

i don't use pandora on the road, i don't have the unlimited data plan.  but i did an experiment in the garage.  with my iphone running the pandora app, i can control the volume via left thumbswitch and skip songs via right thumbswitch.  what other controls can/should you be able to do?  i also have only the free pandora app which only allows you to skip a set number of songs per hour.

hmmm... are you sure its not just changing the song to the music you have stored on your iphone.  i can control the volume but when i change songs it auto exits pandora and plays music that is stored in my music folder on the phone.

well, i stand corrected.  i just went out to the garage and tried it again.  it now doesn't work.  i knew it wasn't just changing to the songs on my phone cause i don't have any songs on my phone.  it used to work with pandora and slacker.  i tried them both and neither of them work now.  the only thing i can think of is either an update of the ios, or slacker/pandora apps causes it to not work anymore.

it doesn't really affect me because i have a limited data plan so didn't use it on the road anyway, but that does kinda suck for a bunch of people.
