Try this thread, or do a search on "NIM".

Oh, btw, are you using a Zumo or a Road Tech 665.  I was under the impression the NIM only works with the Road Tech version.

It gets wired with a cord that comes out of the fairing and has to be plugged into the aux port on the front of the radio.

Can someone here tell me if on the 660 garin the voice comes out of the garin or does it go though the bikes radio speakers. right now all that happens is the radio speakers fade out. there is no way I can hear it coming out of the garin at 50 MPH. HD is telling me it working fine. Thanks, Alan

If it is a Road Tech you need to purchase Navigation Interface Module. #76000024A it connects under the fairing.

There's your answer right there.  Any time your dealer tries to tell you it's normal, or they all do that, you know they are lying.

According to the info Harley puts out on the NIM the radio audio is muted and the Garmin outputs through the bike speakers or the headset if so equipped.  Make sure the Zumo volume level is adjusted all the way up; I've heard that makes a difference.

"The Navigation Interface Module will provide an integrated link between the fairing-mounted Advanced Audio Radio and a Road Techâ„¢ zumo 660 or 665 GPS Navigator. When linked, the music volume will automatically drop when a GPS spoken command is detected, allowing you to hear the command through the radio speakers or the 7-pin communications-style headset."

Thank You Jerry and Supershooter for the information,Jerry I have the Road Tech zumo 665 part number 76000014.
I just noticed that the part number on my nim is not 76000024A it is 83537-11A. Did the moco have a part number change or should I get another one with the part number 76000024A?
