I saw my first CVO Breakout (gorgeous red with that scuffed metal tank and fender) at Thunder Creek HD in Chattanooga, TN this afternoon and I have to say that is it one of the best looking factory rides I've ever seen.
I rank my all time fave five for looks as follows;
2002 FXDWG3 "Switchblade"
2008 FXDSE2
1946 Indian Chief
1960 XLCH
2013 FXSBSE "Breakout"
My ride is a 2012 FLHXSE3 and I love that bike. It would make that list someplace in the top 15 or so, but I need a bagger for my ride, so it's the best I can get for those purposes. Obviously, any of us can ride whatever motorcycle we choose. We're spending way up in the top 1% of all available motorcycles and it just boils down to what you want/need in your life.
My question is - and don't take this badly because it isn't a criticism in any way - Why wouldn't you buy a bagger if you wanted or needed a bagger? I mean, that hot rod you bought is drop dead gorgeous and anything you hang off it makes it look worse IMO. I wouldn't do that anymore than I'd think about stripping the bags and fairing off my SESG and pretending it's a power cruiser.
Opinions, of course, vary, but I've just thought about this for a while and I saw that bike today and saw your post tonight and decided to pose the question.
In any event, enjoy that bike. It sure is purty.
