Yay, getting rid of the heat! Fullsac Stage II
« on: April 05, 2013, 05:44:17 AM »

Just in time for the Las Vegas' intolerable summer temperatures, I am going to Lake Havasu to stay overnight at the Heat Hotel (how appropriate) next to the London Bridge with my DH. He was reluctant but sweetly approved my desire for my right leg to stop burning up and we will be using our tax refund due to all the surgeries and medical expenses last year. This year's medical (chemo) sucks, too, but at least I am still riding so far.  Bummer time to be out of the saddle nearly 5 months last year, but I digress:

Ken showed me the light and Steve is making the magic for Scarlett (Ken wants a T-shirt):

The 17th can't come soon enough, yay, getting rid of that damn cat! I am so looking forward to this. Wish I could make the Santa Fe GTG to show my baby off, but not in the stars this year. But, typically, I again digress:

My first & last CVO, Scarlett, arrived 6-1-12. I always remember my mom while riding.  She had smarts with a spirit of independence & adventure. "You Gotta LIVE!", was her motto; her favorite color red, and she loved BLING.

AWESOME!!! You will LOVE riding Scarlett with a Fullsac! Glad they could work you in so quickly.

You will be amazed at how much more power the bike has, and how much cooler it runs now! Don't be afraid to let it rev... those 54H cams will pull hard up beyond 5000 RPM. But I would upshift by then if not before, to stay in the peak of the torque band... that's where you get the best rate of acceleration and the best thrills!
