Hey Mike! Was wondering where you'd gotten off to. Don't know what's happening at Killer, but I'll have a look and possibly mosey on down there. Haven't bothered Judge and the parts guys much lately!

Come by and see the new place if you want to. I'll text you the address.

Ken, the pool is getting there.  :2vrolijk_21:  Won't be long and you will be swimming!  Sorry to hear about your friend. I wish him a healthy life and hope he has clear selling ahead.

Thanks, Judy. I'll be sure to tell him that. It was a huge scare, and it might come back later... But for right now he's considered cancer FREE! So we're gonna be doing a LOT of riding this summer!

Hey Ken, How's the pool coming?  Any new pictures?

Massive progress made, Judy! Salt system is in and operational at a perfect 3200 PPM. Water is now COMPLETELY clear and all levels in balance. Having a continuing problem with the pump not pumping enough water to drive the Polaris. They are putting in new seals in the pump today, and blowing out all of the lines with one of those inflating things that goes down through the lines. The timer on the control panel isn't working, either, and they are supposed to fix that, too. One thing at a time...

I also had them replace the silicone sealant between the brick coping and the concrete deck... It was quite old and had largely delaminated pretty much everywhere... Looked like crap and wasn't doing its job of keep water frim going under the decking. That cost the same as my Drago's 2-1!

Harleys and swimming pools are Money Pits, for sure... but in another week or two it will be warm enough to SWIM and all of this hassle will be history! WHOO-HOO!!!

Far cry from two weeks ago...

In panorama mode, it looks pretty "Mickey Mouse"...

I LOVE Newcastle Brown! One of my all-time faves. Didn't know they had introduced a bitter here... I will DEFINITELY have to check that out! I have a pretty good beer/liquor store near me named Jax. The beer guy there is very good, and he gets a lot of "boutique" microbrews, including the various fruit ales that I love.

I am a self-admitted beer snob, and have always had a soft spot for English beers... much to the chagrin of my Miller Lite-swilling buds. They just don't understand my taste in beer, and I SURE don't understand theirs. When they razz me about my "phoofy" beers, I just tell them I prefer to convert my beer to urine myself, rather than drinking it that way...

Samuel Smith's "The Celebrated" Raspberry Fruit Ale is one of my very favorites, but my wife and my buds all say it tastes like cough syrup.

One time I pulled THIS one out... just to mess with them... and got some STRANGE looks! It's actually pretty good, and really does taste like what it says... A bacon maple doughnut!

I LOVE Newcastle Brown! One of my all-time faves

Ken, I couldn't agree more.  If there is no Guinness on draft handy, Newcastle is my go to.  Don't have any use for light/pale/tasteless beers.  I don't drink much but when I have a beer, has to be dark and one of the two mentioned.

As for the pool, looking very good, brother.  I know you are ready to try it out.

I just tell them I prefer to convert my beer to urine myself, rather than drinking it that way...

I nominate this for the quote of the week!

Then we have an accord, brother. Guinness is absolutely nonpareil! I also like a Black and Tan... with Harp Ale on the bottom, poured properly so that it's not mixed on serving. Beamish Stout is also good, but hard to find here.

A friend of mine once said that I like my chocolate, my beer, my cigars, my coffee, and my women ALL DARK AND BITTER! But that was pre-Mary. I still like the other things that way, tho...  :beatnik2: :joker:

And yeah... can't wait to jump in and not freeze to death! We are waiting on a flow sensor for the heat pump. I really want to get that thing working to warm up the pool quickly. Nice thing about a heat pump vs. a pool heater is that you can also COOL the pool down in the blistering heat of July and August. It was 106 here last July, and most pools were over 90 degrees... almost like a hot tub and not very refreshing... but far better than nothing!

Thanks, Judy! It's been a long, hard road... but we're almost there! Just need the weather to warm up. We always get some cool weather in late April for a couple of weeks here... It got down to 43 last night, but is warming to around 70 today, and sunny. Supposed be a cool, rainy weekend here tho... UGGGGH! I can't wait for Mother Nature to turn on the HEAT LAMP!

Now I need to get started on building the BAR for the Badger Den... I have 100 board feet of really nice cherry waiting in my workshop... and a new Powermatic table saw that's just itching to get used!

I can't ever imagine having to cool your pool.   :'(.  I keep my heater set at 90.   :P.  I just scheduled my opening for May 31st.  Opening it much before that requires a lot of heating. Lol

Make sure you post picture's of that beautiful bar when you get done!  You are a man of many talents Ken.  :)

I just like doing things and especially building things, Judy.  Up in Ohio, you don't have the overheating problem we have down here with swimming pools... Above about 85 it's not very refreshing when it's 100 degrees out.

Peter/Howard... I picked up some Newcastle Brown Ale just now in all y'alls' honor, and I'm drinking it this fine evening sitting on the deck with Mary. And Peter... "all y'alls'" is Suth'rn plural possessive!

Ken, you are so damn cute and I'm so jealous that you are sitting outside in a short sleeve shirt.   8).  Only 52 here today.  :-\.  I haven't shed my stocking hat yet this year.   :(
