The first gray connector is an accessory power connector, the second two pin is for a fuel tank vapor purge solenoid that is used on the California models.

As HD-Dude said, it is accessory power.  It's also called a "B+ connection" because it is attached to the Battery + terminal.  It always has power, even if the ignition is off.

the grey connector is actually a constant hot wire connected to the battery.  It is not switched.

If you wanted to install something that runs all the time, like a clock for instance, an unswitched and always on connection would be required.  It's actually nice to have a separate wire and connector in place from the factory, versus having people cobble stuff together and add more ring terminals at the battery post (not a good idea electrically speaking).  I'm surprised Harley spent the extra money for the wire and connector actually, considering how cheap they are elsewhere.

Depending on what sort of accessory you have in mind, you can still use this always hot connection but use it to power a relay that uses a switched source to energize the relay.  It just gives you more options besides the regular accessory connector attached to that switch on the dash.

Never said it was switched, it is an accessory power lead 8)
