Sure is the wettest summer I ever remember in East TN.  I have taken four trips out of state on my Motorcycle this year, and have been rained on leaving and coming home on three of the four trips.

Will I get to ride to and from the 110th in Milwaukee with out being rained on?  My bet is between where I live and Lexington both ways I will get rained on.

Rain for the next five days in our forecast again.

LMAO... good one. There was a member in the past we called "Rainman" (because he was affiliated w/NOAA) but I think we may have to give this name to somebody else now.

OK... HONESTLY! This summer defies description here!

Got up in Asheville condo this morning at 7:00 AM. Partly sunny. Nice. After having RAINED the better part of the three days we were in Asheville.

That lasted less than ONE DAMNED HOUR... Rain begins. Got in the car and started home.

Rain continues. And continues some more...

Got to Cherokee. Stopped at the casino. Had breakfast. Went into casino and lost $300 in less than an hour.

Came out and got in car. It was pouring rain...

Drove home. It poured the ENTIRE FRIGGIN' WAY! For three MF HOURS...

Got home in a DELUGE! Sat in the garage watching it POUR for awhile. It finally stopped, and we came down to the pool.

I may actually be able to USE the fire pit by late September... when the water hopefully RECEDES...

Honey Badger is fortunately still high and dry in the garage...  

I am waterlogged and working on DRUNK in the pool... It's all good!

Here's one back. It's actually SUNNY here this morning - for once! Haven't seen an nearly-all-BLUE sky in quite awhile.

We may go for a ride today. We're both still feeling pretty mellow from the Asheville trip, though. It's gonna be a slow-starting day, whatever we do...

Really??? I wish they would have just said back in May that they were cancelling summer this year... 72 degrees for the HIGH in Atlanta on August 15 is a sure sign of a coming ICE AGE! Gonna have to turn on the heat pump in the pool at this rate! Good GRIEF!

The frogs are enjoying the rain Ken!

CUTE, Judy! There are uncountable numbers of tree frogs singing their nightly courting songs like an amphibian heavy metal band in the woods down by the pool here! Every day I fish several dead ones out of the skimmer baskets.

It never occurred to me before we bought the Badger Den that all of these trees I love so much would make such a MESS around the pool every single DAY... all manner of leaves, mustardy scum in the skimmer basket socks, little acorns, fallen limbs, fallen little other things, pollen and pollen pods, spiky sweetgum balls, frogs, thousands and thousands of ANTS despite me having put down season-long ant killer THREE TIMES so far and spraying twice a month... As well as many, many other critters of all types!
It's worth it... but I just wish we could have a few genuinely hot  days before Autumn arrives, so it would feel as if we actually HAD a summer here. We've only broken 90 on a few days this year, and we are already at the average YEARLY rainfall... with more on the way!

When I started this silly little thread WAAY back on May 4, I figured we would be high and dry a month later - as we nearly always are here. I never imagined that the rain would STILL be going on strong in mid-August! Enough is FAR TOO MUCH!!!

It is not any better here Ken!  When we have warm days, we get rain.  Sunny this week but 10 degrees below normal.  It has been the worst year for the pool since it was installed 5 yrs ago.   .  I have basically given up on the warm, hot summer days this year and I'm already looking forward to next summer.   

Gonna take a long weekend next week and ride the MC over to eastern Ohio where the Amish live and get some homemade Amish cheese.  In September there is Ribfest, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we have a dry fall so I can get in a few MC trips before putting her away for the season.
