The rain finally moved away from south central PA.  But so did summer.  It's like late October in mid August around here.

Came home from SD to a jungle.  Rain about everyday and hadn't been cut in two weeks....had to cut twice and go back over it again to get rid of the clumps/piles of grass (me no rackie no mo).

This rainy year is the pits.  Heard when we got back we have already hit our yearly average at the end of July and still running at least one day of rain a week since last November.  I'm 52 and do not ever remember it raining this much in a year, at least not in the South East.
Our weekend outlook is about the same as you are expecting, Ken.  No end in sight..... :'(

It is not any better here Ken!  When we have warm days, we get rain.  Sunny this week but 10 degrees below normal.  It has been the worst year for the pool since it was installed 5 yrs ago.   :'(.  I have basically given up on the warm, hot summer days this year and I'm already looking forward to next summer.   :divers009:

Gonna take a long weekend next week and ride the MC over to eastern Ohio where the Amish live and get some homemade Amish cheese.  In September there is Ribfest, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we have a dry fall so I can get in a few MC trips before putting her away for the season.   :-\

Me too, Judy! I hope we FINALLY get some good riding weather in Sept!

I'm still trying to make it to Maggie Valley for the GTG next month - to FINALLY meet some of my CVOHarley eFriends in person. Mary is off to Tybee Island that weekend for her annual "Hells Grannies" female rider group GTG... so I will have to arrange for someone to attend to our three dogs if I go to MV. I really want to go this year!

I cut our lawn yesterday evening, Howard... to beat the next MONSOON coming! I hadn't cut it in over two weeks, and I had lots of HUGE clumps of cut grass to blow off. My Stihl backpack blower made quick work of them tho, and it was nice mowing the lawn and NOT sweating like a race horse!

I love the fact that only a very small portion of our land is cleared for the lawns. Nearly all of our acreage is just natural woods. No maintenance on that, and I can just go the woods and pick up as much fallen wood as our fire pit can consume. If it ever stops raining, I might even build a fire in it... once the water recedes and the wood dries out enough to actually BURN!

I too have never seen so much rain.  The lake, Watts Bar has flooded more time this year than the last 13 years all added together.  My wife is upset, I went to work off shore th 5th and she said she has not been able to ride one day since I left because of rain, and the one day it did not rain she had to cut the lawn twice.....

I sure hope it does not rain the Evening of the 27th so I can start my ride to Milwaukee right after I get home from off shore.

Maybe Ken could go for a ride south that evening so the rain follows him...Sure would help me.

That last pic shows more green than there really is.  Here is a better shot.

Wow, Cowboy... that does look very dry. That's one hell of a big yard you have there! Glad I'm not your yard man!

Weird how all of the rain seems to be east of the Mississippi River this year... hope you get some soon.

I lived in Seattle several years ago, we never had as many rainy days as we've had here this year. Had my bike in for service at Earl Small's, picked it up early this morning and just made it home before the rain moved in. At least I got a few miles in this weekend, from the looks of the forecast it may be sitting in the garage for a while.

At this point, Honey Badger may not make it out of her friggin' garage until it's time to head to Maggie Valley next month!  :'(

ALTHOUGH... the long range forecast only shows a 10% chance of rain NEXT Saturday! We'll see how THAT pans out. It's been awhile...
