A lot of us run the Wards Parts Works cooling fans. They are very well made, and the fans blow air right on the hottest part of the cylinder heads - not just between the cylinders like most other fans do. They come in black, chrome, or CVO Granite. They also can have a thermostatic switch that will turn them on and off as needed automatically

There are multiple threads about the Wards fans on here... Do a search for "wards parts works" or "wards fans" and you will find them.

Ken

Installed them over the winter months, as I am lucky and sneak in some riding time when it's not super cold in the morning.  I also installed the thermo switch option.  As the weather has warmed up, they have run more.  I will sometimes have upwards of 4-5 minute light cycle time around the major interstates, and slow traffic.  You can really notice how much air is being moved across the heads at low speeds.  Usually when I park the bike, it will cycle one to two times as the heads are cooling down.  I have had no battery issues, but a battery tender is part of my normal garage park routine.  What I have really noticed is there is virtually no cool down noise other than the fans now.  I did have a thermostat failure on initial install, but Jason zipped another in the mail right away, no cost, and has worked like a charm.  For me, it's more of piece of mind when I am stuck in traffic and lights.

Living in Dubai and as you can imagine it gets pretty dam hot!
I started by fitting the HD Premium Oil Cooler and then added the Wards Cooling Fans! the combination works great! runs lots cooler and even when stuck in traffic it has never gone into safe mode!

Another shot of the Fans and the HD Cooler on my Bike!
I would also like to add that the customer service from Jason at Wards Parts Works was second to none,

I just got a set delivered yesterday.  Customer service was first rate.  The install is ridiculously simple...the hardest part was getting the acorn nut tightened down and keeping the horn and fans aligned.

I have an air horn similar to Georgia Hawg's - so I adjusted the spacing similar to him more for the horn vs. the fans.  I also incorporated the new power option that he was offering.  Took longer to take the seat on and off than do the fan install.

How many times did it take you?  I must have fooled with it for 15-20 minutes trying to get it just right.

Flyguy, with respect to your original question, it is possible to fit the H-D cooling fan to a 110 engine - I've done it to my CVO Softail Convertible.  However, you may need to modify the bottom support bracket supplied with the fan.  Mine needed a small slot about 3/4 inch wide and 1 inch long in the front of the bracket to allow the gear lever actuator to move back and forth.  The bracket came with some kind of plating (rhodium?) so the cut edge will rust but I've had mine polished and chromed since the mod.  The mod does not affect the overall strength of the bracket.  Of course, you will have to re-locate your horn.  Hope this helps.
