Gopro mounting?
« on: May 05, 2013, 07:51:55 PM »

I have a new gopro hero3 black. Im thinking of mounting it on the bottom of the fairing next to the light with the stick on curved mount and a safty tether.  Any mounting ideas that you guys have tried? Ive been enjoying videos on you tube by xxxdeadhead and he does a good job. It has a wifi remote so i hope it will be easy. This thing might be a fun thing but the directions arnt user friendly just updating it took me an hour and i needed help.
Thx V

I used a chestmount harness last summer when I tackled the Dragon. It worked fine.   :2vrolijk_21:

I usually mount mine on the engine guard.

I've tried a couple of things. helmet is the best but suction cup on the fairing is pretty good.

I have mounted mine in several locations. I like the suction cup on the front fairing the best. I can easily take it on and off. No muss no fuss.  I can turn it on and off with one hand while riding. The best part IMHO is the perspective of the video. It is from the same angle as if you were the rider. Thats what I don't like about the video from the lower fairings.

I use the suction cup and have had great success mounting it to the top of the fender.
