Thanks FlaHeatWave,

I will give them a call.  Are you getting them painted a solid color or tri-color like the bikes?

Just the '09 Charcoal Slate as that is how Harley paints the non-vented lowers for the '09s. I've seen some folks put some yellow on them and to me the bike doesn't flow.

Shauna is the one that is handling me.

I have all Focals with Arc amps from Soundz Customz. I had J&M's in my Ultra and they were absolutely CRAP!

I went with Hybrid Audio Technologies speakers that were recommended by Tif2.  I purchased them through Biketronics and upgraded the fairing speaker to the Unity series and stayed with the Imagine series for the lowers and the lids.  You will need a better amp to power the better speakers that you put in.  I went with the Biketronics amp and I'm second guessing if I should have gone with two different amps, one for the front and one for the rear.

Cowboy

I'm thinking  of going with this setup on my FLHXSE3.  But I think that I'm just going with the fairing and lowers for now.  How would you compare them to the stock speakers?  Was it worth changing out the lid speakers (I can barely hear mine, but my wife hears them fine when she is on the bike).

If you are going with the Arc amp and the Focals,, you will be very happy.   The 4 channel amp works great with the new Hybrid Audio 5x7 s that were just released.  They definitely complete the system and you can hear those speakers easily at high speed.  They are a perfect fit and don't really sacrifice anymore bag space.   I would do it again.   Stuart.

I really think that if you don't want to spend what it takes for the arc amp and Focals,   Hawg wired will do the trick.  Much better than the stock junk. But can't compare to the arc and Focals.   Ive had both.

I got my arc amp and all the focals from Soundz customz. His name is Pete and does a great job .He does installs too. I had him do my install last Oct.in Daytona. It was about 2g when it was all done.  I even have the focal tweeters in the fairing. Don't do the focals in th bags. Theyy leak and I wasn't impressed. I had them. They are in.my closet now. I have the hybrid audio now.  Much better and don't leak.

Those of you with arc amp and focal speakers....anybody use the arc 125.2 (two channel) with focal KRC pairs in the fairing and lowers?  Customz Soundz says that's a great system for a 2011 SESG (mostly amp fitment reasons).  Any advise?

i have the 125.4     i really do like it,,, the 125.2 is a great unit also... just 2 channel... if you wont have the bag speakers, you will be fine with the 125.2...  The Focals are great also...

Are the Focal speakers truly water proof? I ride in the rain 200+ days a year with sometimes torrential downpours for several hours at a time.  I cannot seem to find any data on Focal speakers and durability vs. water and ice.

i live in fl.. lots of rain here in the summertime,,,   no issues at all with the focals in the fairing or the lowers...  get em,, you wont be dissappointed at all.... like i said earlier,, you can pass on the tweeters in the gauges..  not really nessasary at all,,I have them, so I guess ill leave them in there,,not really worth the added expense or the work to put them in there,,,,   Those Focals really crank.. :2vrolijk_21:

Another vote for the Arc Audio/Focal combination. :2vrolijk_21:

I had J&M Rokkers installed...but they can`t begin to compare to the quality of construction and performance of the Focals.
