VetsRoll is 100% free to the veterans - World War II, Korean War and Rosie the Riveter veterans from Northern Illinois and Wisconsin.  It is a local organization that is run entirely thru donations and fundraisers, founded and managed by a long time family friends, after the death of their WWII veteran father.  Each May, they take approx. 200 veterans to tour Washington DC visit the National Cemetery and the National Monuments via bus.  This May will be the 4th year.  My father in law went last year.  A highlight of his life.  My wife is a volunteer "bus leader" for the tours.  It's a fantastic organization.

Thanks for sharing that with us.  My step father took part in the honor flight out of Montgomery couple years ago and really enjoyed the trip/experience.  It's a great thing we can do for our vets to honor their service.  He flew 69 missions over Germany in WWII.  Quite a guy as I see your father-in-law is.  They don't make 'em like that anymore.
