Since many of us are always searching for new idea's pertaining to the perfect exhaust and tuner I'd throw a new one into the mix:

> Cobra Power Port Duals $329.00 from Dennis Kirk
> Cobra Fi2000 Power Pro Tuner $432.00 from Dinnis Kirk
> Rinehart 4" slip-ons $504.00 from Eastern Performance

The installation was easy and I choose to run the Cobra Power Pro tuner alone with the stock set up for 300 miles or so to get a feel for how it works and the effect on the bikes all around performance and the inherent heat issues. IMO it worked flawlessly the bike ran much cooler and was silky smooth in any gear at any throttle position and the throttle response was crisp with no flat spots or lags anywhere.

The next step was to intall the exhaust system and take it for a spin. Once again the bike ran perfect any gear at any speed with absolutely no cracking or popping on decelleration, the CVT of Power Pro worked exactly as advertised it adjusted the fuel map automatically on the fly as I was riding after making the exhaust changes, No dyno tuning or fancy mapping required the Power Pro does it all for you in real time every time you ride and adjusts automatically to the temperature and current atmospheric conditions.

I'll be hitting a few upcoming Rally's soon and will throw the Bike up on a Dyno or two just to measure the 110's otherwise stock Hp and Tq output with this configuaration as well as too confirm the A/F ratio is a straight line at 14.1 then I will post the Dyno sheet(s) for future reference for those who are also considering their options for a few simple changes to have a great running bike.

At this point all I can say is I now have a bike that runs like a top with plenty of power everywhere, it is operating much cooler and sounds terrific.... not too quiet and not too loud, sounds agressive coming up through the gears and tones down nicely at cruising speeds.

Sounds like a nice setup
Does the Cobra tune anything besides fuel?
14.1 still sounds a little lean to me.

This video covers the basics better then I ever could, the Power Pro is discussed at the 4:15 mark:

Here's some insight from the Custom Dynamics website:   http://www.customdynamics.com/cobra_powerpro_tuner.htm

Well finally had the opportunity to throw her up on a Dyno to check the power output of this configuration while at the Laconia Rally yesterday. Inadvertently ran into Dr. Dyno doing his road side Rally thing and thought what the heck from what I've read on the forums this guy is reputable with an honest Dyno so I decided give her a whirl.

The results on an 83 degree day were consistent for all three pulls 94.3 on the Hp and 118.8 on the Tq.

Dyno sheet will be posted once he emails it to me, he had trouble getting a good read on the A/F ratio as his copper tubing sniffers didn't reach the proper locations.
