new to the forum

Hi, my name is normajean. My man owns a few bikes, my favourite being his 1992 flhs Harley electraglide. We are from southern alberta in Canada, and love to ride.
So, first dumb blonde question;  what does CVO stand for?
Secondly, does anyone know of an independent Harley tech in our area? Obviously the Harley dealerships are extremely expensive and we would like to find someone reasonable but qualified.
I will start with that as I'm new at this, but am quite sure there will be many other questions once I tell my man about this site. He is not computer savvy at all, so it will be up to me to relay questions and answers, etc.  Am glad I came across this forum in my searching.

Welcome to the site. There are people here that can answer most any question. However, I would recommend staying away from questions that can easily be located on the Web, such as your CVO question. Not making lite of your knowlege, just trying to be helpful.

Welcome from Ohio.  And CVO does mean Custom Vehicle Operations.  It's the limited edition Harley Davidson's with the biggest engine produced with screamin eagle parts and a lot of accessories from the factory.  Some say the best of the best.  I say a lot of money just to spend more money to make it right they way it should have been.  That's why we all get together here and talk.  Plus we talk about the latest and greatest things that do and don't work.  Easy ways of doing repairs for do-it your self mechanics.   And for questions that you am have for bigger items before taking something to a dealership. 


Today you may read someone changed out their speakers with brand x and made such a big difference over the last set.  May give you ideas on birthday presents or Christmas gifts.  Same if there is a problem with the bike.  You could do a search for it and just read.  You will be surprised what is in these archives that has already been discussed.  If you can find it just ask.  There are so many people on here with knowledge and experience that can pretty much at least lead you in the right direction or coarse of action to go. 


 I am sure you will see over the next day or so of visiting and reading and learning your way around.
