removing stock header pipe
« on: May 28, 2013, 08:10:45 PM »

Okay, dumb question.  If you remove the stock header pipe on a CVO ultra and this removes the catalytic converter, what type of, or do you need to add a tuner?  Obviously this is my first touring bike.  Thanks in advance

Just go here and get everything you need. New head pipe and tuner......then do the baffles if you like the stock looking slip-ons, or buy a different set and just bolt them on.

I agree with the full sac idea.  There are a lot of threads on here about them and performance is great to.  Go to their web sight and read up.   Read about all the happy people here that use them.   I am sure you won't be disappointed with just their stage one set up.   Then when and if your ready for a stage 2 you already have most of the stuff.

The Steve there is also a member here and can answer questions if you have any.

I don't have mine yet but I hope to have it in the next month.  If I could just stop spending my money on my new garage.

I keep reading about every one installing his head pipe and going with the tts master tune.   Which he has already done a map for our bikes that is very good.  And is making me so jealous.   I just can't wait.

But there are many others out there but as you read through many of the threads many end up switching to full sac after spending lots of money and and trying a lot of different combinations trying to find something better.  Just to realize the could have saved a lot of time and money and done it right the first time.

If you take a little while and search on fullsac it will give you plenty of reading to help give you a informed decision.

There is also some links to some sound bites also.

I agree, the stuff works well.

I have done it to three of my bikes so far and two of my wife's bikes
