Just did another stage IV install on another friends bike.  It happens whenever I'm meeting some friends for a ride.  I ride up with my tunes blaring and everyone says they can hear the tunes before they hear the bike.  I only have the two speaker set up.  I could probably get more bass if I added the lower but hell, it blows the stock system away.  The $1000.00 is kind of a tough pill to swallow when the package shows up and there'e only two boxes.  But DAYUM it sounds awesome.  I cruise a 70 and it can drown out the worst singer.(me :P)  I recommend calling Pete at Soundz.  He stands by his products and does a nice job explaining everything you need to know.  It's nice having someone that is an installer not just a sales guy to talk to.

I read and researched all I could.  I'll tell you that there are many systems out there and if you're like me, the $$$$ really were a concern.  But after thinking about how many chrome doo dads I've purchased and how many dollars I pissed away on stuff that I don't have anymore, this is one expense that has given me the most pleasure.  In the future with any new bike I buy, this upgrade will be among the first.

Rock On,
Doug :bananarock: :bananarock:

I have both the focals and HW 6.5's ... used them both on the bike for a while uppers and lowers ... The the HW's are sitting on the bench ...There is no compairison IMHO.   I now have 6 focals on the bike,  very happy with the focal speakers ..    I am currently using the HW 400RS amp ... Its been replaced once ...  I dont care for it one bit.  background hiss when system is turned on .... true, you cant hear it when the engine is running, but somtimes i listen the engine off.  zero volume you can hear this unpleasant background noise hisssssssss  ....
So what does Jim have to say about that?

Ive bee following this thread and also researching stereo options for some time now---------------This thread came along just at the right time as I had about decided on the Arc 125/4 amp , focal 6.5's upper and lower fairings, and maybe some HAT's or Focals in the bags.
Is Soundz Customz the place to purchase. Had a long talk with them the other day and they pretty much sold me on their plug and play setup (2012 SERG)
Anybody got an opinion here????

I have bag speakers in my SESG and like them fine , just not sure I need them in the RG??????

x4 for Peter Jensen @Soundz Customz.....I emailed him I don't remember how many times asking questions and he finally called me. Top notch service, products and price.

I agree with all that has been said about Pete at Soundz Customz...He is a great guy and totally explains everything good and bad about what you looking at. I went with the Level IV kit for the front and another ARC amp and Focal 5x7's for my bags. I hope it ships today!!!!!!

Thanks all for the recommendations,

Where is everyone buying the HAT's? I'm not even sure what size for the HAT's in the lids. Should I buy the harley lids or the hogtune lids?

Well I was going to bye the 5x7's direct from HAT, http://hybrid-audio.com/ because I could find a local dealer but you can call Pete at Soundz Customz and speak to him. He will hook you up with what ever you need.

While the Hybrid Tech 5x7's are sealed and therefore deemed waterproof, they do not come close to the sound quality and output of the Focal 5x7's in the saddlebags.  Unless you ride in the rain quite frequently, get some Hog Covers to cover the speakers if your caught out in the rain.
Hey inferno, did you intall these yourself? I got the stage IV kit plus the 5x7 rears and a second amp for those. If you did, what did you use to "seal" the lids? The 3M strip calk?

Thanks,

I used the hd gaskets that are sold for their 5x7 speakers.   They work and fit great.   You  can find the part number on here like I did or ask your dealer.

Got the HAT's last week and I'm having the lids painted this week as well. Can anyone tell me where to buy the rain covers for the lids?
