Kidd, let me know how you make out with this? I would be interested too. I just checked the 2013 HD Catalog. On page 391 (Touring Section) they list a set of Billet Style Extended Reach Heel/Toe shift levers for all '88 and later Touring Models. The billet style is what is on the CVO's and I doubt very much that they would include extended controls as standard on a CVO unless stated otherwise like the 2013. It says that each is extended by 1 inch so that should bring you out past the floor board. P/N for the set is33600001. The set is $150.00 but if you can buy just one for around $70.00 that would do the trick.

I put on a extended front shifter lever and put on the Kuryakn one inch out and one inch forward for the floor boards.  Worked out great!

I think he said he has a Street Glide and not a Road Glide.   ;D   ;D   ;D

I agree with Jerry.  Just remove the rear shifter and buy the chrome end cap to cover the knurled shaft and you won't have to worry about your foot placement.  I've never used the heal shifter on any of my bikes, so I've taken it off of my SESG3, but for some unknown, not even to me, reason, I haven't taken it off of the SERGU.  :nixweiss:

Doesn't matter, the shift levers fit all the Touring models (same shaft).  What he's trying to do is find out if the new for '13 extended lever will let the peg on the lever clear the rear edge of the floorboard.

I'm in the same boat. Swapped out the oem floorboards for Arlen Ness boards which are quite a few inches longer overall. I'm in between splines on the shaft - either too high or too low on the rear and it hits the floorboard when upshifting. I've considered grinding some of the rubber off on the underside of the shift peg, but would also like a bit more room for my left foot. If the '13 shifter is longer, then at least it will provide more room even if the angles stay the same.

I have a different issue with the rear shifter. I found that I have to lift my foot off the floor board to reach and use it. Not that it is tough to do, but that I have to think about it makes me not use it. I have tried adjusting it lower, but it hits the floor board before shifting gears then. I too am unsure why I have left it on!!!

My plan of moving to the '13 version of the linkage should fix that. It will be behind the floorboard, so you can have it lower to start off. I'll post an update when I get around to swapping it out sometime in the next couple weeks.

You're probably right, especially if the shift peg on the rear linkage clears the back edge of the floorboard. It probably wouldn't on mine because they're so much longer than stock, but I'm very interested to hear how this works for you.

I have a size 13 shoe.   The linkage can be adjusted to make it just right so that you can get you r shoe just under it.   I have my rear shifter removed and its very comfortable. I find it the best way to get full use from the floorboard.  I use an extended spacer from Baker Customs that brings it out an extra inch.    Even more comfort.   :)

One of my first mods is to use a short chromed shouldered bolt, put a piece of black fuel line on it. This is put in place of the rear shift peg.  I have a size 12 boot but it gives me more room on the floorboard and I use the rear shifter all the time. Just another option.
