So, it sounds like according to the experts here that using a stock 2009 pipe is not the way to go - the only other item the dealer said to get here to go with the pipe was an "02 sensor adaptor" if this changes any of your opinions.

If not, it would seem the better way to go would be the Fullsac DX or a header pipe from V&H, Reinhart, etc?

It just reinforces my previous feeling that this "dealer" is handing out bogus advice.  The bungs for the 2009 models were located close to the cylinder heads.  The bungs for the heated sensors used in your bike are located much further downstream in the collector area.  There is a very good reason why those sensors aren't still located up near the heads.  And adding thread adaptors to make a 12mm sensor fit an 18mm bung isn't a great idea anyway, since they tend to change the depth of the sensor in the pipe and could affect the accuracy of their readings.

IMHO, it would definitely be better to go with a purpose built system that was actually designed for your model year bike.

So, if I go with the Fullsac DX (reinhart, V&H, etc) the above mentioned sensor issues go away?

Pretty much.  On Monday give Steve at fullsac a call.  He will explain how it works in a much better way than I could type in words.  There are many pictures throughout threads on here as well between both set ups.  I am sure there is a way to explain savaging between both cylinders.  But I am sure I would do it incorrectly writing it.

Get the ups and downs of going with each system with a person that has tested and tuned lots of different combinations built his headers to work with the 110 touring engine.  Keeps the stock Chrome shields.  Been tuned all over the country with amazing results.  Just give Steve a call.  Once you talk to him I am sure he can answer your questions a little better with out getting way over your head if your not mechanically inclined.

Good people.  It won't hurt to call.  Like I said before.  I will have this set up soon as I am done, with this garage.  I can just hardly work in my garage I got now.   I am ashamed to even take a picture and post it right now.  Looks like something off of American pickers would be going through.

Will do; thanks Todd.  I'm hopeful that I can just get the parts and then let the dealer install even though they've never heard of "fullsac"...  Planning on the HD Super Tuner as well.
