Speaker Grills for lowers??
« on: June 14, 2013, 05:44:37 PM »

Looking for some speaker grills for the lowers that don't block the center tweeter, and that fit into the opening like the stock grill do. I added Hertz 2-way speakers in the lowers, but the Hertz grills are big and don't fit into the speaker opening, and the stock grills block the tweeter. Any solutions out there?

thanks for the help!

When I installed the Focal Krc's into my lowers I wondered the same thing. I popped the little emblem off of the stock grills just to see how much restriction there really was and IMO it didn't warrant me seeking out some different grills. Only time you may notice anything is when your in your garage, bike off and out of the elements etc. When your out riding around, your not going to notice any gain or change at all.

I have focal coaxials in the lowers.  I tried the stock Harley grills,, I really think they were blocking some of the sound quality.  The tweeters were too close to the emblem that restricted the sound.   I put the focal grills back in.  Much better.   :2vrolijk_21:

Awesome, the Focal grill work with no modifications? Can you maybe post a picture or two? What model Focals do you have?

Thanks a lot for the help.

the focal speakers are the 165krc,,,  their grills work great   with some 3m strip caulk...  all sealed up and not going anywhere.
