Seat causes nut issueI
« on: July 07, 2013, 10:33:06 PM »

I ride 250 to 500 miles every weekend, i have been real sore in the nut. Almost like I was racked up, pain in my side too. i saw my doctor who says I am fine. It took me a while to figure out what was causing my issue, it is my seat which comes up against me in a rude way. Anyone else have this issue? What is your fix? I have been riding in bike shorts which seems to help.

Gosh I would hate to loose my heated seat, but if that is what it takes... I am ready.

Been having the same problem. Seems the hammock seat is trying to make my testicles recede but I'm too old to switch sides of the plate now. Talked to the guys at the dealership about that yesterday, they all looked at me like I was crazy. I have a small butt, doesn't fit well in the hammock. Hate to give it up because of the heat and the looks but I am actively shopping for an alternate. The dealer has several demo seats available so I plan on trying out a few before I decide on one. Hate to just order one online without knowing how well it fits me.

Corbin makes an excellent heated seat.  When I first got mine, I thought it was too firm to be comfortable, but boy was I wrong.  I can ride for 14 hours without a sore butt!

I appreciate your input, yes my buddies think I am a little crazy too. I have owned a Corbin seat and a Lepara. I will look into the Corbin site. Thanks...

If you GOOGLE "Nut Crusher"  :nervous: you'll find you're not alone.  Especially the MoCo seat for the height impaired.  I'm a "Mustang" man myself....the pretty seat they gave me on my 12' SERG allows me to feel the seat pan after about 1 hour.  I'm 240# 6'2"....and I've got a new Mustang w/Backrest on order.  Pics later!

I have never sat in a H-D seat that was comfortable for me. Tried a Hammock but got rid of it quick!

I have a Corbin DualTour and a Mustang Super Touring Wide Vintage. I like both... the Corbin is a bit better for me, but the Mustang is far better for a BSR. I have the Corbin on when riding solo without the Tour Pak, and the Mustang when riding two up with the Tour Pak. Both have a built-in rider backrest, so swapping them out takes only a minute or two

With a Corbin or Mustang seat, can you use the stock front back rest? Does the rear passenger back rest need to be changed as well or can it "look" okay without being replaced?

Just read on the Mustang seat site, only their back rest will work.

Corbin is the same way. You have to buy their back rest. The only one I've seen that allows you to use the stock back rest is the Cyle-Pedic seat offered by Rush Racing. There are probably others but that is the only one I've run across.

You will need and want the Corbin backrest.  It's better than HD's and will look better.  I also purchased Corbin's passenger backrest, so it would all match, but it is not necessary.  It's cheaper to purchase your Corbin seat through HD Dude (Jim) than it is to purchase it thru Corbin.

The Corbin DualTour and the Mustang Super Touring Wide Vintage I have each have the backrest bracket built right into the seat, so the entire thing comes off with the seat. That makes swapping seats super fast.

I have a Corbin heated seat with matching drivers, passengers backrests as well.  Love it.

I feel your pain , I had the same issue .  As my seat time increased so did my  discomfort . Bought an Air Hawk-R  seat cushion and trouble disappeared .  The "R" was designed for guys with our problem and it worked for me  . Bought it on RevZilla.com , they  price matched .        http://www.airhawk.net/airhawk-r.aspx

X2 on this. Just used mine on a 1600 mile trip. It sits you up just a little depending on how much air you add to it.

I see a lot of reference to the Corbin seats. I've also read a lot of horror stories about their customer service. Any one of you Corbin owners care to share your service from them for the OP?
