I would not do it.  But what engine and transmission does the fairlane have?  By chance does it have factory air or dealer installed air conditioning?  What other options does it have besides being a convertible?    I am sure if you do some research 10 years ago that car would have brought more money than today. 

Would he sell it straight up and if so how much would he take for it.   You may be able to have the best of both worlds. 

At least that's what I would try to do if I wanted the car.

Don't even want to look from that angle, the answer would rule out 99% of cars. the 1%er.....67 Vette Roadster, 427/435 with knockoff wheels & sidepipes. But then I would need to give 100k boot

Thanks Guys.......appears I was sliding towards a bad deal. Thanks 05train, the Galaxie looks much better than the Fairlane. Not sure what the Q-code is......lower production #'s ? I've always been one to say, if he can do it..I can. Everyone is different, but thanks Dartman.........if you can do it, I can!! 2 wheels it is!!!!

Gloria, one of the oldest if not the oldest Active Motor Maid at 88 years old, just rode her Heritage from New Jersey to Bend Oregon for the Annual motor Maid convention!  She will be riding it back to NJ.

My wife does not feel her 24100 miles out are very significant any more seeing Gloria is more than 34 years older than my wife.  LOL

I say ride until your health or physical condition make it unsafe.
