Backfiring During Gear Change
« on: July 15, 2013, 08:39:56 AM »

Guys,
What would be some common causes for a bike to backfire from the rear cylinder during up-shifts or throttle roll off? My current setup is Big Sucker A/C, Fullsac header, 4" Rinehart mufflers and TTS module.

My initial guess would be in the tuning. However, there are several other things that could cause this to happen.

I'm leaning toward tuning as well, but I've always heard try the easy fixes first. So, first step, make sure exhaust is tight.
