Windshield Bags for SEUC
« on: July 26, 2013, 08:32:05 AM »

I know that it's hard to find a windshield bag for the 2013 SEUC so a few of us that own these bikes went to a guy Mike Insco " Insko Leather" in Apollo PA and he hand makes them for us!  Here are some photos. Mike can be reached at inskoleathershop@yahoo.com

What does he charge and do they mount like other windshield bags?

Sent from my iPad, probably while I'm pooping.

Very nice.  :2vrolijk_21:  How long does it take for him to make them?

I'm sorry for the delay, I talked to Mike and he said the cost for them would be $165.00.   I know the others are much cheaper but these are hand made and the quality of the leather is really nice.  Yes they have a center hole like the other bags mount.  The leather is thin where they are in-between both pieces of the fairing and windshield so there is no bulge.

Fox Creek Leather makes a great dash bag that is also hand made. It is only $38!

Great bag, Great price!

I have both bags...the Fox Creek bag and the one from Insko Leather.  The Insko bag is much nicer looking and was made specifically to fit the batwing fairing with the dash pad.  It is a perfect fit.  Even though the Insko bag is much wider, I can actually get more in the Fox Creek bag as it's deeper from front to back.  But, my Fox Creek bag is sitting on my shelf in the garage and that's where it will stay.  The Insko bag is undeniably a much better looking and better quality bag.  I paid too much for this bike to put something on there that doesn't look like it belongs there.  I'll be at the Maggie Valley GTG, so those attending will have a chance to see mine in a few weeks.

Love it, but have one question, is it easy to remove for weekly cleaning or will you just have get used to seeing the dirt from the front of the windshield? I notice the picture the windshield is tinted below but mine is stock and it is clear...any thoughts?

Easiest bag I've ever put on or off a bike. Because it's contoured to the windshield, just loosen the screws and slide it on and off.  No problem at all.
