Damn gentlemen, sorry for the ignorant question. Didn't realize that the masters of all things Harley would take such offense!!
To us who are of lesser knowledge and was under the misunderstanding that friendly advise could be sought here, I apologize.
That being said, thanks to those guys that did give me an answer. And to the others
PS. Just FYI - Red is such a common color.
Please understand that "oil threads" are asked with regularity here and on other forums - to the point of extreme annoyance. If you search on "oil" you will get literally hundreds of hits. These threads tend to drive many members nuts!
Anyway, Jerry posted what you should use as far as oil weights for the engine, primary, and tranny.
If you don't have a Genuine H-D Service manual for your model and year - plus the CVO supplement for your specific bike - I suggest you purchase one ASAP, and get familiar with it. It's the best investment you can make. It lists all of the information you need.
Having said that, many of us have used LOTS of different lubes on our bikes over the years. I have used many as well.
Currently, I have Mobil 1 V-Twin Syn 20W-50 in the engine - but any 20W-50 is OK as ling as it meets the stated requirement for your engine. I have also used AMSOil MCV 20W-50 and it is an excellent oil as well. H-D Syn3 is "recommended" for use in all three places, but I personally don't use it anywhere. It is a good oil though.
I use Red Line Shockproof in the tranny - but I have also used Mobil 1 Syn 75W-135 Gear Lube in it. I like them equally well... either one will lubricate the tranny well, and will keep it relatively smooth-shifting and quiet. The tranny needs a good, thick gear lube in it - to cushion the gears in there.
I currently use a mixture of 70% H-D Formula+ and 30% Mobil 1 Syn ATF in the primary - but Formula+ alone is perfectly fine. As Jerry said, the primary isn't as critical... the fluid in it is there primarily to cool the wet clutch, and to lube the primary chain. I think that a 20W-50 motor oil is too thick for the primary, despite the H-D recommendation to use Syn3 in it. I have used AMSOil 20W-50 in the primary on previous bikes - but it can make it more difficult to find neutral because of it's relatively high viscosity. The primary needs a thinner lubricant such as Formula+ or an ATF without friction modifiers... these can cause clutch slippage.
Hope this helps.
