CVO Patch Idea
« on: July 27, 2013, 08:46:59 AM »

Okay,

Here they are. To be honest, they came out better than I thought they would. I really like them. In the second photo I tried to give an idea of size perspective by including a 6" measuring tool. They are about the same size as the ones you would buy from the MoCo. These four came with velcro on the back (the hook side), however they can be ordered without velcro.

He said he can make them in ANY color combination with ANY wording on them. The price is $15.00 each. I asked how much of an order would I need to drop the price. He said a minimum of 60, all the same color and design would drop the price to $10.00. I told him I would find out and get back to him.

If there is sufficient interest in this, I am thinking of having an ordering window of 30 days. I will come up with some sort of ordering form for you to download and email to me. On this form you can select what colors and lettering you would like. Since this is Afghanistan, I will only ask you for your Site ID on the ordering form, (I'm IronHorse) as I will NOT give out any personal information to anyone in this country.

What I would like is someone stateside to handle all the shipping. Someone who is willing to take on the job of getting the patches matching the names with the Site ID, and mailing them out. I know it's a time comsuming thing, but from where I am it makes the most sense. I'd rather mail one box of how many patches to one person in the states, then risk mailing individual ones.

Lastly, if anyone has a better suggestion on how to make this happen, let me know. I am always open to useful and helpful ideas.

So for now,..please partake in the poll as that is our first step. I will take each polled vote as an intent to order.

I like the idea of getting customized, considering it's a relatively small price difference. Especially dig the B&S with the model designation on it (like the 'FLHXSE2' one in the pic).

It is pretty amazing what some of those guys in the Sandbox can do with a sewing machine.

I voted for the one kind, but want in whatever wins. If you need me I will handle the Stateside mailing. You are correct, it is a super P.I.A. I did a couple of coin deals and think I can find the spreadsheet I used. Sorting will be the only work and what the hell.....I ain't got a job  :coolblue:

Ironhorse!
How goes?  I'm recovering well, just beat back another 'issue'. Back at work, too.  Heard you're having a busy year!

Count me in for two of the orange CVO style.  Did you get these from the SpecOps guys?  Good quality there.

Mark,

I vote for the one in the upper left, but in orange and black.

I hope you are safe in Afghanistan.

Mark,
My votes in.
I'll be in for 4 custom - 2 yellow with custom lettering - model center/cvo bottom and 2 orange/white with model center and Harley Davidson top/bottom.
You did a GREAT job in getting this together. Thank you.
