While inside the store at the Devils Tower they have a rattle snake that was killed on the grounds there some years ago. My Texas amigos say "I've never seen one in south Texas that big" so that tells me one thing be careful out roaming around in the Black Hills

As we depart the Devils Tower all the BSR say the view looking back on the Tower is awesome. Mental note to myself is next year go to Sundance first then "down" to the Tower then over to Hulett and back to Belle Fouche then to hotel.

We arrived in Sundance which I never knew there was a town it was simply a fuel stop before heading back to Rapid. Nice place. Had a tire store offering factory Dunlops $450 set installed.

Since we couldn't find a parking spot on main street we actully got to view Sturgis from a block or two away. The courthouse was very nice. I wonder if any of our tax dollars were used to build it??  :D Surely not

There's a burnout contest in Sundance Wednesday (late)afternoon.
They have an elevated platform, so you can watch from an "upwind" location.
Also, a nicely paved frontage road runs from Sundance all the way to Spearfish, an alternative to the Interstate.

The Sturgis Police Station. The guest out front must be waiting on friends from the night before?
