Saddlebag Guards

Has anyone put saddlebag guards on your Glide? If so, are you happy with them? What brand do you recommend? Anyone have pictures to share?

HD has the standard and the low profile.    More comfy for the passenger.  I like the look of the standard ones better tho.  :nixweiss:

I like the looks but do you think that would protect the paint on the lower bag if the MC was dropped?

Judy/Renay....JoeVibe put some of the low profile on his SE Ultra and really look great.  Also, since the new '14's are out, look at the ones that are re-designed for the '14 Limited and CVO Limited.  They are re-curved different than the previous low profile design (like the ones I mentioned on Joe's) and they look very nice plus they look like they would protect much better than the previous low profile design....

Are you referring to something different then what you have already?

I'm with Stu on this.
Plus the standard gives you a another place to grab while backing up if needed.

Judy,

You can have the standard guards off my bike. If you want to try them, send me shipping info and I'll send them to you.

I'm not positive but, the 2014 saddlebags look a little wider to me so the guards may be too wide to look right on the older bags.

Unfortunately, I can tell you from experience that the guards did save the paint on my bag.  ::)
The right guard has a very small scratch on it, near the bottom.

They're heading your way. I sent you a PM with the details. Buy me a cold beverage the next time we're together and we'll be even.

I decided to install them more for a lay down situation then a drop.  The paint and bags I can replace.
