04SEGlide,Being hot, getting rained on etc. is part of motorcycling. I have accepted that fact and it helps me enjoy my bike. Especially living in southern California I can go from 100 degrees inland to 65 degrees at the coast in about 45 minutes or less. Don't even think about Death Valley from the beginning of May until the end of October. Also another wonderful place to be in July or August is St. George Utah. Last time I went thru there it was 115 degrees on new asphalt. My bike ran fine, however the glue in my wife's right tennis shoe melted and we had to stop and get her a new pair. Took a 3 hour break, got to Las Vegas at dusk. It was still 107 degrees. Drank some more cold water checked into our rooms ate dinner and stayed up until 2:00 AM. It was a great day. Just for the record since I installed the Fulsac stage one map, open air cleaner and 1.75 baffles non cat head pipe , no pinging under any circumstances. CAHDBIKER
