Appreciate the advise.....the bike restarts immediately after shutting down.

We are going to brave the cold and ride today, Sunny but highs of only 48...getting ready to break the news to the wife...suit up!!!!!!

I had an experience with a 2003 Ultra that would intermittently stop running while driving at speed.  This would happen roughly at 800 to 1,000 mile intervals. There was no warning prior to the malfunction and the engine would restart immediately after coming to a stop. The engine would also immediately restart if the handlebar stop/run switch was cycled.

The machine malfunctioned like this for many thousands of miles until finally the engine stop/run switch was replaced. This was a tough one to pin down because of the intermittent nature of the problem along with no obvious evidence of a switch malfunction such as high resistance or voltage drop.

The stop/run switch was replaced on speculation and the machine has not missed a beat since. I am also aware of a 2002 Road King presenting these symptoms that was fixed in the same manner.

If the machine continues to malfunction, go ahead and throw a stop/run switch at it.

:)  We rode yesterday for hours....my wife's Road King with the stop problem ran with out a hitch.....it never stop at all.  Hopefully replacing the Spped Control Sensor did it.

I will keep all informed, even though riding this time of year in Maryland gets tough.  Thanks for all the advice.
