That probably depends on your budget. I would love to have a table lift but my craftsman works just fine

I believe he is referring to a whole bike lift and not a jack.  I waited a bit but found a Handy lift with the side extension for $500.00.  You may want to put an add on your local Craig's list and surrounding States you are willing to travel to for the right deal.  I would stay away from the super cheap models as you get what you pay for.  I found mine about 5 miles away, now if I could just find a tire changer I'll be all set.  Good Luck.

Bill;

I'd say Handy or Western (now part of Handy).  Bought mine used for 600.   New without side extensions they're around 1300.00 before freight and taxes.

They are not light.   If you get to Fredericksburg give me a shout if you want to check it out.

I removed the screw vice on the front and installed a Condor wheel chock.  Makes it easy and painless getting on/off the table.

The local distributor is just down the road from my office. I'll check them out.

I don't have one but have seen a few on the site. Direct Lift I believe a few hundred less with the side extensions.

When I was researching lift tables, Handy seemed to be the default lift at Harley shops, but it is also the most expensive.  You'll find Handy is the only lift manufactured in the US.  The others are made in China.  However, there are good Chinese lifts out there.

I chose a Quality Lift (which seems to be made by the same company that produces the K &L Lifts) because I liked the way the wheels rode in a track rather than on the floor (I have RaceDeck tiles on my floor and didn't want to scar them up).  Also the side extensions remove easier.

I researched lifts a long time and looked at quite a few.  Just remember, you get what you pay for.  I found some complaints on-line about some cheaper lifts in which they wouldn't fully extend or they malfunctioned shorty after purchase.  If you find a lift you're interested in, Google search for complaints from customers.

I have a ranger lift and its worked great for years. The thing to consider though is features the lift has. If your wrenching on the bike then the pull out or fold down rear on table makes rear wheel removal easy. Same applies to front. I wish my lift had a fold down front for easy front wheel removal. The side extensions i never used. Riding mower goes on it for service too. My table lift is recessed flush with floor but it still lifts plenty high very seldom reaching max lifting ht. Higher quality wheel vise with the more expensive lifts too.

I had a lesser quality the first go around, and was lucky to sell it to a not so close friend. that thing made me nervious every time.

I now have a Handy SAM 2, with the side extension, and imho, it's the cats meow. Just think about the value of what's on it before cheaping out.

I know that when I chose a lift safety was the most important consideration.  I chose the Handy BOB 1500 with side extensions.  I am sure that I could have used a 1000 SAM/2.  I figured that if I put Petunia on it and my fat ass climbed on top I would be over the rated 1000lbs.  I am sure they have a safety margin built in but I did not want to go outside the rated load.

The only downside of the lift is you cannot really move it easily.

Been using this lift for a couple years. Well built and solid. Paid around 1100 from naautoequipment.com. It's an M1500 model that easily handles any harley. It includes side extensions and lifts to 38" which can be very handy. I replaced the wheel vise with a Condor chock.
