On my 2008 Ultra with 103ci in it over 53,000 miles avg. 49.1mpg on my 2010 Limited with 110ci in it over the last 85,000 miles avg. 46.1 mpg

Looks like that's kilometers, not miles.   :nixweiss:

MPG ???  What's that?  :nixweiss:

Am at almost the 1K mark after two weeks of ownership and believe I'm getting right around 40 mpg, although I'm sure that will vary in the future depending on the intensity of the twisting action of the right wrist.  :coolblue:

I usually check my mpg every fill-up and average 42-45.  Mostly depends on my riding.  If I'm on the back roads, I get closer to 45.  Highway - 42.  Bike has 41K miles and is totally stock.

I must be doing something wrong.   :nixweiss:  My '12 cuse7 is bone stock but I am hard pressed riding two up to get anything better than high 30s, maybe broke 40 on a couple occasions tooling around back roads in the 45-60 mph range.  When I do have to take to the superslab and get 'er up to 70+ my mileage goes down to about 33 mpg.

This is pretty much what I have gotten on my '07 cuse2 also.

I don't baby them to try to get better mileage but then again I don't ride 'em all that hard.  Happy with what I've got but with the price of fuel these days it would be nice to increase it.

I have the FLHYCUSE7 as well.  I have gotten 43 and a bunch of 39's.  In town and passing cages stuck in the left lane I get 33 - 37.  I would love to be 40 something all the time, but being less than that has not made me stop riding it.  I bought it for a lot of reasons but not one of them was high gas mileage compared to other bikes.

2012 SESG, Pipes and Tuned are about my only engine mods.

I average 32-35 mpg when running town and really cranking the throttle on short highway bursts.  We have a lot of high wind conditions in Texas which you can feel on the bike, especially with lowers and a taller than stock windshield I run.

Hitting the highway with the crew I average 38-45 mpg.

Definitely get the 45mpg with non-ethanol gas consistently, but that is only when running out in more rural areas where I can find the stations.

Pulling the bunkhouse - drops to 33mpg.

My tuner said the stock setup, and the map loaded by the dealership were way too lean for the heat we encounter down here, so I know I am running richer than those of you cranking the 50mpg.  He told me that it's better to sacrifice mpg for the cost of replacing engine components.

2009 FLTRSE3 / SERT / D&D 2 into 1 FatCat / No copilot, she is currently recuperating from her second (different leg) total knee replacement, and I weigh 260.
After seeing the post I decided to participate in the mileage study; leg # 1 85 miles Interstate 15 North for 85 miles @ 85 mph / Return Route 169 South for 65 miles @ 65 mph. Total miles 150 / MPG 49.5

I ride very conservatively and never get more than 41 mpg on my 07 or new 14 SERK  What do I do Wrong. Even on the freeway at a slow 70 MPH I will not see more than 41  Billy     180 # and ride solo just incase someone thinks I may be a little on the heavy side.

Considering that the effect of the wind increase as the square of the speed (works with sailing, probably the same here), you get double the drag at that "slow" speed that you have at 50...  You should expect lower MPG driving at that speed...

...  It's more fun to have a low mpg though...   :pepper:

With basically a stock 11 FLTRUSE... Vance & Hines 2-1, and a T-Max tuner.  I get 32 MPG on 93 octane at sea level.  If I put a dose of octane booster in it it goes up to 35 mpg.  I do ride somewhat aggressively.

Ethanol fuel vs non ethanol will skew the results. You are lacking approx 10% BTU with the E10 fuel. In az with hwy speeds of 75  and being the 8 over guy I would get 38-40  out here in the 65 hwy speeds and way too many freaking cops I get 42-45 ..  :(  If I get over 38 I am just fine with that.) I did some tuning this summer on mine to see how much MPG I could get with out ign ping issues at 52 MPG it would ping at 50 it would not. But that mother ran so hot it was not fun what so ever to ride...
All I did was run the afr at 14.7 and bump the timing up to the 42-44 degree area. Just me messing around. I pulled those heads after that so see what they looked like.. EX valve where pitted badly as was the seat. Carbon over 3/4 up the valve stem. Valve seals burnt and hard. But I saved a few pennys at the pump  Lucky for me I have extra parts.  :2vrolijk_21:

Well, for the first 585 miles, the bike averaged 33 mpg's at each fill up.  I haven't got gas since I did the mods listed below in my signature...
