Thant looks really sharp, what did you install for the exhaust?   How soon before you before you can give he a good run or two.  Let us know what you think.

I left the exhaust the same for now, V&H true duals w/ HO slip on's.  The headers are 2009 with wide band sensors.  Any suggestions for changes?

I have the Bassani Road Rage on mine but it was not my original choice.  I originally wanted to install one of Frank Drago's exhaust but apparently the large cam cover caused a fitment issue.  The Bassani is much louder than I would have liked plus you can't check you oil level when it is hot since there is no room to get to the dipstick without getting burned.  I tried to contact Steve @ GMR since he installs quite a few S&S 124 crate motors but he was in the process of moving so I was never able to get in touch.  Since you have the winter I would do a lot of searching, you can check with Steve @ GMR, Frank @ Drago's,  you can also contact S&S directly and ask who is doing a lot of 124 installs.  Star racing also has some info.  Steve @ Fullsak might have something that will work.  At this point I'm not planning to replace the exhaust unless I locate one that is fairly quiet and still has decent numbers, I would trade some performance for a quieter system.  What fits on a good performing HD 120" may not fit yours since the cam cover is smaller and gives you more choices.  I believe there is a vendor on this site that was able to make one of Franks exhaust fit, maybe he will have some info for you.  R&R motors builds a bunch of billet motors all the way up to 155" and their cam chest cover is similar in size & they use the Bassani.  It may be a case of what fits and not what's best, I just don't have that answer.  At least you have time to get what you want.

A system that has proven it's self over and over and is lower sound wise than any other that we are aware of is the Pwr dual head pipe and crusher mellow mufflers. And we have not found the limit for power with this system.  I recall a 131 with this system into the 150/150 range we have gone into the mid 145 range thus far.

One system that would also work but at this put no tests that are on a big inch engine is the super trap mega 2-1-2 system.. The ability to have two mufflers in a system will reduce the the sound level , correctly built you will not loose power or tq

There are other 2-1 on the market that will make the same power level however you have that larger baffle to keep back pressure correct and that will raise the sound level.  For touring I feel that a system that will allow you to produce the power level that the engine can make is great and if you can get the sound level reduced that is even better. That last 124 that we posted up is very low in exhaust DB level. Good luck with the swap

Well Steve it appears I may be visiting a friend in San Antonio next spring/summer.  If I do I will definitely stop in and see what we can do for an exhaust for this motor.  I just installed the new compensator with the Hayden chain tensioner and I have to say it appears to shift smoother especially shifting into first.  Maybe more exhaust options will be available by next spring.

Ended up putting about 500 miles on bike and have been really treating the break in with the proper respect.  With that said, this motor really wants to go!  Sadly I'll have to wait until spring or a late winter trailer to some place warmer.  Until then, I plan on taking it up the road to Fuel Moto to have them do some dyno work on it with the power vision.

On that note, Pokerville Ironworks did the install and was able to put the PV inside the side cover of the bike!  No ugly handlebar mount, and I can pull the side cover off easily and get at the PV screen.  Sweeeet :2vrolijk_21:

Can you post a picture of that.
