As much as we would like to think otherwise, CVO's ARE NOT '63 split window Corvettes. To my knowledge, there isn't one single CVO of any model or year that currently sells for more than it retailed for new - original parts or not.

I agree with you that it isn't smart for someone not to keep the parts they took off of their bike but it would only make a difference in resale value if you stumble upon the buyer that knows what the original parts were and is anal about getting them. That might not be rare for folks on this site but we are zealots and not the average second owner of a CVO.

Screw spending money with the MoCo on a new bike.  I vote for strippers and Macallan.

The quality of strippers here sucks!

Thanks for all the replies.  I will continue to monitor the market.  Offered 28.5K for a black/grey that the buy it now price was 32K, plus a 1200 mile ride to get it, and was turned down flat!  Not even a counter offer.  Oh well.  What will be REALLY interesting is what happens to those prices when, not if ,HD brings out the new CVO SG.  I can afford to wait as money spends anytime.  Thanks again.  Spook

I know you said you were looking for a CVO Street Glide - but - there's a 2012 CVO Road Glide Custom in the bikes for sale folder now.  It's the black/White (Skunk) model, with only 4k miles.  The owner is asking $28.5k, seems like a pretty good deal to me....

That's a no-no for me...

Why not order your 2014 SG ?  Still some to be built !

That is what I would do.
