Mobil 1 V-Twin is fully compatible with a wet clutch, and Mobil certifies it's OK in the primary.  If you are talking about the automotive version, which is 15w50 not 20w50 btw, that one I wouldn't use for anything but the engine.  In fact I used to use it many years ago in my Dyna, back before they came out with the V-Twin oil.  But just in the engine.

Jerry

I guess I didn't do a good job of explaining. He recommended not using the M1 for cars in the primary. The M1 Vtwin is OK in all 3 holes according to him.

Thanx all - I am going to go with the Mobile 1 V-Twin and the K&N filter.  The local dealer really juiced me for the o-rings today.

Yes they are proud of their o-rings at HD. Just need to take a sample and buy a whole box for what the dealer charges for 2 or 3

I have used Mobil 1 VT 20w-50 in the engine & primary on all my Harley's and have never had any issues.  I did switch the tranny to Redline SP Heavy a few years ago from Mobil 1.  Never had any issues with Mobil 1 in the tranny before I made the switch.  SJ Ron :)

I used Mobil 1 in all three holes for 1st 13k and saw no problems. Only changed primary & tranny after reading a report on Lucas. Now and forever Mobil 1 in engine.
What was the reading (report on Lucas)?
