The seam on mine pulled the dealership said normal wear and tear they wouldn't replace it.  I called HD in Wisconsin they had the dealer take pictures 2 days later I got a call the seat was being replaced under warranty.  They dealership that said no orignally came to my house to install the new seat so I didn't have to make the 160 mile round trip.

Glad it worked out for you.... I was told no a few times but kept asking since it was happening from day one.  Always be nice, polite etc...  Darn few dealerships are really out to screw a customer over or treat them poorly since they know that even the smallest  issue can cost them a lot in future business.  Just look at Deluxe HD in Gillette Wyoming,  word of mouth is a killer, over what... a dang set of tires, and now they have such a black eye.

I have a 2010 with 50,000 miles and similar issues and they will only replace my seat if the heater goes out.

Like RotaryWing said................Make it so. I have never seen a electric circuit that could not develope a 'open' at any time.....without any sign of tampering

Hey Keats,
We all were at the point you are, deciding wether or not to spring for the esp. I opted to purchase the plan for mine. Thus far I've had one claim which my dealer pointed out to me should be fixed. My dealer fixed the problem, contacted the esp company and it did not cost me a penny...not even a deductible. I have a ways to go to reach the break even point but the nice thing about it is that I do not worry about rolling up the miles or if something else breaks.
I also was told that everything was covered except normal wear and tear items such as tires, brake pads, light bulbs, oil filters...etc.
I am not very mechanically inclined therefore if something breaks I am having the dealer fix it anyway. What price do you put on your peace of mind? ...everyones price isdifferent.
Good Luck and stay safe!!!

Is it a common thing with CVO seats?

I'm not hitting the panic button just yet, however mine is 10 months old and stiching is already showing at the seam.

it would help if my short legs would not drag my boots over the  seat.

PS my ESP has been used extensively with 2 engine
rebuilds and  a compensator.  I would say I am past the break even point, but would have preferred not to be....

I have 31K on the bike now and apparently mileage does factor in the equation.

I do not have tire and wheel coverage, so here we go

1 year added   $1049.00       ends up being $1049.00/year
2 year added   $1379.00       ends up being $689.50/year
3 year added   $1664.00       ends up being $554.66/year
4 year added   $2089.00       ends up being $522.25/year
5 year added   $2364.00       ends up being $472.80/year
